On April 10, 2023, according to the law amendments published in the Official Gazette, new regulations were introduced regarding the Charging Network Operator License.
According to the law amendment published in the Official Gazette, individuals in company management and indirectly involved in companies who fail to fulfill their obligations will not be able to obtain a license for 3 years from the cancellation of their previous licenses.
Furthermore, new provisions regarding the annual license fees to be paid by charging network operators have been introduced. With the amendment, the first paragraph of Article 10 titled “Revenues, Property, and Assets of the Institution” of the law was modified to include charging services among the institution’s revenue items. Additionally, the following clause was added to the same article: “The liable parties for the annual license fee in subparagraph (a) are the legal entities holding the license. The annual license fees to be applied within the year are determined by the Authority and announced within December of the previous year. In case of non-payment of the annual license fees within the specified period, the unpaid amounts shall be pursued and collected by the relevant tax offices by the provisions of Law No. 6183 on Collection Procedure of Public Receivables upon notification by the Authority.”
